Blocks

Blocks - Blocks are defined within the group.

The following parameters are defined for the Blocks:

• Address - the first address of the address space which contains all process variables (coils, inputs, registers, timers, etc.)

• DataType - data type (interpretation depends on the protocol or the device in use), e.g. Flags, Inputs, Outputs, Registers, Timers, Counters. Please select the data type from the dropdown list.

• Name - human readable name

• Tags - Collection of tags makes up a block. Each tag represents one process variable usually stored in a controller register. First tag has address set up in the block definition. All tags fills up consecutive adderss space - are adjacent.

• AddressEnd - Maximal start address in the selected address space.

• AddressStart - Minimal start address in the selected address space.
